Introduction
For this lab we were given very little instructions of outline to help our skills with creating and executing experiments. We picked a function of the body and were told to show how homeostasis affected that function of the body. We then were told we need a scientific poster and article as our final product. Below you can find the article and poster, which explain all of the different parts of the experiment that we created.

Concepts
Heart rate- The number of heartbeats per unit of time, usually per minute. The heart rate is based on the number of contractions of the ventricles (the lower chambers of the heart). This is what we used for the effect homeostasis has on it.
Homeostasis-the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes. Used to see how it effects certain parts of the body.

Reflection
Overall I really enjoyed the research and testing of this project. Personally I appreciated how my group thought thoroughly through all of our information and experiments. My group thought constantly about how would be the best way to execute this project and in the end I think we did an amazing job. Although the majority of the project went well I feel we could have gotten more specific with our test subjects. Our test subjects were varying people of height and weight with very differing ability of physical activity. During this lab I gained many new skills for experiments and labs. First, I gained more experience in the critical thinking area of the lab. At the beginning of the lab we were given very base knowledge on how we were going to prove homeostasis and having to think about how to create an experiment helped with my critical thinking. Also, I gained experience for creating science articles and posters. Scientific writing is a large part of the work that we do and this lab helped with diving deeper into how that should be done and how that works. Although, I gained a lot of experience there is always some things to improve upon. First, I could improve upon the way that i measure and work through labs. I always feel, as though the more times that you measure certain things the easier it gets to be precise. When we measured heart rate we used a machine, but we are not trained and had only a simple base knowledge on how to wrap and take the blood pressure. Also, I feel I could have done a better job with the speed of work. While writing the article and poster the rate at which i was working was lacking. This tie in with my experience and that the more times in practice the writing the better it will get.
